Protest scheduled for new Planned Parenthood facility
Protesters converge on new Planned Parenthood center is also related.
They offer a multitude of services, but since the fanatics are focusing on abortion services, let’s look at that first.
With regards to abortion consultation, alternatives and ultimate decision:
—– Are you going to pay for EVERY pregnancy?
—– Are you going to adopt and raise EVERY child?
—– Are you going to help EVERY mother with therapy?
—– Are you going to pay for the medical checkups and services for EVERY woman post-pregnancy?
If ANY answer is no, then you have NO room to say ANYTHING to the workers, the women, NO ONE.
They claim this will be a peaceful, silent prayer vigil.

Basis of the protest: Planned Parenthood is about to convert an old bank building into a nearly 80,000 square foot headquarters that will offer abortions, among other medical services to an area that protestors claim is predominantly hispanic and black.
Various words and phrases were bandied about. Planned Parenthood is racist. They’re focusing on putting their “abortion supercenters” in hispanic and black communities. They’re targeting these mothers for abortion services.
Please note: the above are NOT my words, they’re pulled from the article. I couldn’t make this shit up, folks. 
So what I’m seeing is folks in the area fall into these categories:
- can’t afford a normal doctor
- may need something other than abortion info since PP supports and offers help with STD education, prevention, testing AND vaccines
- may be trying to get on birth control so there are LESS unwanted children in a country already swimming with unwanted children and too much red tape
- are seeking to end an abortion for various reasons (health, rape, etc)
Acccording to the protest organizer(s):
“We believe Planned Parenthood was founded and organized specifically to target minorities,” said protest organizer Doug Springer.
Protestors say this clinic was put here in a minority neighborhood to target those mothers for abortion services.
“You may not say Planned Parenthood is racist like their founder, but 76 percent of abortion clinics are in Hispanic and black American neighborhoods,” said Engle.
Here’s a goodie:
“The government is saying it’s a right, God is saying it’s a wrong,” said Tony Perkins with the Family Research Council. “Government is saying it’s a fetus, but God says it is the face of our future.”
Really? Where in the bible does it say that any being that is sucking the life (quite literally) from a body, drawing its’ food from its’ host, is the face of our future?
Ok, maybe “sucking the life” is a little over the top, but how is that any different from some religious whackjob telling us what we can and can not do with our own bodies?
And by the way, it’s not goverment saying it’s a fetus. It’s decades and decades of science, study and INTELLIGENCE.
And this one:
Rally participant Juda Myers told Eyewitness News, “I am so grateful that there are this many people who really are fighting for people like me.”
Myers is from Houston. She came out to share the message, but also to share her story. Adopted a child, when she found her birth mother, Myers found out she was the product of rape and could’ve been aborted.
She said, “Planned Parenthood is trying to take out people like me, because they are very interested in getting rid of, for the sake of the woman, people like me who were conceived in rape.”
Let’s hear it for ignorance!
Ok. First, put down the psychotropic drugs. Second, walk away slowly. PP is not forcing, or even trying to coerce, women who were raped, and as a result are pregnant, to have abortions. It’s an option the WOMAN who was RAPED has ASKED about.
So lady? Go ask your biological mother about it and $5 will get you $10 that SHE asked about abortion, and did not want to have the reminder of a violent, vicious act that was FORCED on her. I’m glad you were adopted. You’re the minority in those given up for adoption. I hope your biological mother was able to get on with her life. Sadly, YOU interrupted her path so that YOUR tiny little ego would be stroked and satisfied.

“They should be ashamed,” said Rachelle Tafolla of Planned Parenthood of Houston & Southeast Texas.
Tafolla with Planned Parenthood says just five to seven percent of their patient visits are for abortions, the rest are for other medical services and they’re moving here because that’s where the need is.
“Frankly, we could be located anywhere in Harris County. That’s why we have 10 health centers in southeast Texas. This particular facility is located in a neighborhood that’s easily accessible for our clients and it provides a secure perimeter for our clients who can come in with little to no harassment from protestors,” said Tafolla.
“I’ve heard some interesting words describing our new building,” said Planned Parenthood spokesperson Rachelle Tafolla. “But it is focused on prevention. We are going to have our flagship health center there in addition to a lot of other services.”
To offer rebuttal to the” racist founder” accusation (from the article):
We asked experts on Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. what he would’ve thought. It turns out Dr. King himself didn’t really talk about abortion since it wasn’t an issue then. He did support birth control and family planning in a 1957 magazine column. When he accepted an award named after the supposed racist founder of Planned Parenthood in 1966, Dr. King actually praised her work.
These people are already in trouble, whether through their own inaction, an accident or a violent act and you want to make their lives MORE difficult by standing in their way of getting on with their lives?
Stupid people suck.
